Sailing Trip to the Bahamas
March 3rd - 7th

One of our members is planning a charged sailing trip - Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas from March 3rd to the 7th. They need two more people to make up a crew of six. No experience is necessary, but you can crew and learn as much as you want -- or simply enjoy the sail.

The captain in Ft. Lauderdale owns the boat and describes it as:

"... a 41 ft Morgan, one of the best equipped sloops of her size cruising the Bahamas and the Florida Keys. I take pride in the way she is outfitted. She has dockside A/C in all cabins and fans over every bunk. The entertainment center has a color TV, VCR, stero with cassette and CD player. I have a good selection of tapes, CDs, books and games. I keep an ample supply of snorkelling gear and fishing tackle. Of course, the boat has state of the art electronics like Global Positioning System, LORAN, autopilot, VHF radio, 2800 watt power inverter backed by 3 banks of batteries! What's more, my galley is a dream - I have an excellent refrigeration system with deep freeze and it's also equipped iwth a microwave, toaster, blender, juicer, coffee maker, barbecue grill, etc. Fresh sheets and towels are well supplied. The cockpit has a Bimini top and side curtains so you are comfortable in any weather. The vessel is also equipped with a 15" inflatable tender with a 15 HP Mariner and with only a 4 1/2 draft, she is the perfect boat for cruising the shallow waters of the Bahamas..."

Total cost for six people is $458 per person -- includes everything except your travel to Ft. Lauderdale. That is a real deal. These trips normally cost $1000 per person or more.
